Abstract: | Michael Jacobs collected five volumes of meteorological data in Gettysburg between 4/1/1840 and 1/1/1860. Included in his observations are temperatures, barometer readings, cloud conditions, wind directions, and rainfall. Jacobs also encloses several loose pages, including two memoranda, two broadsides from the Pennsylvania College of Gettysburg (dated 4/15/1851), and a "Registry of Periodical Phenomena from the Smithsonian Institute."
